Superior Water Resistance
Mackintosh adopts the unique yarns with sun proof and multiple performance from exclusive technology for Axroma. The yarns are also generated from the waterproof technology of 3M-Scotchard which performs excellent water repellency and superior washing fastness.
With regards to the craftsmanship, Mackintosh uses the very particular weaving method, so that the water resistance of the front and back of the fabric after weaving has two special effects. The front texture of the fabric is much improved while the water pressure resistance of the back of the fabric is further enhanced. As a result, the water resistance of the whole piece of fabric is greatly reinforced; it’s indeed the breakthrough about the limitation of Olefin on the water resistance. Mackintosh undoubtedly has becomethe best choice of both indoor and outdoor weatherproof fabrics for upholstery, decorative cushions, shades, umbrellas and parasols.
Fast Dry
Mackintosh, like the other Axroma series, uses a new generation of polypropylene as its material. The polypropyleneis not easy to fade and does not absorb water. The high hydrophobicity makes the yarn not soaked in as easily as other fibers when the fabric is soaked in water. In addition, the special weaving method of the Mackintosh can reinforce water pressure without any extra coating, and does not affect the breathability of the fabric. Because of its weak water absorption and good air permeability, Mackintosh can dry quickly after being wet outdoors for a long time, which provides much convenience for consumers in daily life.
The high water resistance and quick dry of Mackintosh enhance the performance of Olefin.
